Malayalam Actresses Photos Biography
Iniya is a Malayalam and Tamil Actress.
She acted in several Malayalam television series, short films and telefilms as a child artist.
Iniya won the Miss Trivandrum title in 2005, following which she did modeling and appeared in several television advertisements as well as a number of Malayalam award-winning art films.
She changed her screen name to Iniya in 2011 at the time of movie Vaagai Sooda Vaa.
Her birth name is Shruti Sawant. She did her schooling at Amritha Vidyalaya and Manakkad Karthika Thirunnal High School. She subsequently completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration through distance course education.

Iniya started her career as a child artist in TV series and short films. As a child artist she appeared in many telefilms such as Koottilekku, Orma, Sree Guruvayoorappan etc. While in college she won Miss Trivum title in 2005. She gained popularity after winning the beauty pageant and worked for numerous modeling assignments.

Iniya made her acting debut with Malayalam film Saira in 2005 in a small role. Her first major film was Vaagai Sooda Vaa in 2011 co-starring Vimal, Bhagyaraj and Ponvannan, the movie went on to win National Film Award. She subsequently appeared in numerous commercial successful films like Chennaiyil Oru Naal co-starring R. Sarathkumar, Cheran, Prasanna and Prakash Raj, Pulivaal co-starring Prasanna, Vimal, Ananya and Oviya, Naan Sigappu Manithan co-starring Vishal and Lakshmi Menon, among other films.
